WhatsApp Send Later

Schedule WhatsApp messages. When one is due, a single tap opens the chat with your text already typed, and you press send.

Get it onto your phone

There are two files: index.html is the scheduler, and instructions.html is this guide. Pick one way to open the scheduler.

Option 1: Host the page (best for the Home Screen)

  1. On a computer, put index.html and instructions.html together in one folder. Keep both names exactly as they are.
  2. Open app.netlify.com/drop and drag the folder onto the page. You get a web address.
  3. Open that address on your phone. This guide is at the same address followed by /instructions.html.
  4. Follow the Android or iPhone steps below to add the scheduler to your Home Screen.

The address is public, but the page holds no data of its own. Your messages and contacts stay on your phone.

Option 2: Open the file directly

On Android, open the file from your Files app and choose Chrome. A file opened this way can run, but it cannot be added to the Home Screen. On iPhone, the Files app previews .html files and may not run the page, so use Option 1.

Option 3: Use the Claude link

If you built this page in Claude, the Claude link opens it in your phone browser. When you are signed in there, your queue and contacts also follow you between devices.

A page opened as a plain file or from a host saves to that phone only. Open it in the same browser each time so your queue and contacts are there.

Android

Add it to the Home Screen

  1. Open the page in Chrome.
  2. Tap the three-dot menu, then Add to Home screen (or Install app).
  3. Tap Add. A Send Later icon appears with your other apps.

Bring in your contacts

Open the People tab. There are two ways to fill it.

Keep the reminders visible

iPhone

Add it to the Home Screen

  1. Open the page in Safari.
  2. Tap the Share button, then Add to Home Screen, then Add.

Bring in your contacts

Safari has no contact picker, so use Import contacts file in the People tab. The Contacts app shares one person at a time, so export the whole list with one of these:

Then tap Import contacts file and choose the file from the Files app.

What differs from Android

Daily use

  1. Open the Schedule tab. Search for a contact or tap one from Favorites and recent. Or type a name and number with the country code.
  2. Write the message and pick a time. The quick buttons set common times. Choose Once, Daily, Weekly or Monthly.
  3. Tap Schedule message. It waits in the Queue tab.
  4. When the time comes, the message moves to the top of the page as Ready. Tap Open WhatsApp, check the text, and press send. You can also tap Snooze 10 min or Skip.
  5. The Sent tab lists what you opened or skipped. Use Schedule again to reuse a message.

Favorites and recent

Every number you schedule is saved to the People tab on its own and shows in the Favorites and recent row. Tap the star next to a person to keep them at the front of that row.

Groups

Leave the number empty. When the message is due, WhatsApp opens its chat list so you can choose the group.
